Day 1
Arrive in Anchorage. Rent a car. Enjoy your drive along the Turnagain Arm down to the Kenai Peninsula. Upon arrival, settle into your cabin, meet your hosts, and get ready for your adventure to begin.
Grab your hiking boots and take a short hike to the Russian River Falls to watch the salmon jumping up the falls...
Day 2
Start the day with a raft trip on the Kenai River. An experienced guide leads you on an 11-mile float along the peaceful turqoise waters of the Kenai River. Watch for eagles, moose, Dall sheep and waterfowl as you gently drift down the river.
Have lunch on the Kenai Princess Lodge on the deck overlooking the Kenai River.
Experience the exquisite beauty of the Kenai Peninsula on horseback expert guides help you saddle up for a leisurely horseback adventure that provides picturesque views of the turquoise waters of Kenai Lake, snow-capped Kenai Mountains, and the Cooper Landing valley. The Russian Gap Trail takes you along the base of Langille Mountain, known for its many wildlife viewing opportunities, particularly Dall sheep roaming the mountainside. For additional cost you can head back to the ranch for a gold mining experience. Work the pay dirt through a sluice box then pan it out like the miners do. See how much gold you can find for your vile!
OR...
Experience the magnificent scenery surrounding the brilliant blue-green waters of Kenai Lake via kayak. Your experienced guide teaches you proper paddling techniques before you set out on your guided tour. Once under way, be on the lookout for moose, black and brown bears, and eagles while enjoying the view of the surrounding mountains of the Chugach National Forest.
Return to the lodge to enjoy a soak in the hot tub or relax in the cedar sauna.
Day 3
Journey to Seward to explore the Kenai Fjords National Park on a 6-hour marine wildlife and glacier cruise. This is your opportunity to see whales, puffins, glaciers, sea otters, sea lions, and more! Cruise up Holgate Arm and glide through ice flows as you approach the massive 300-foot face of Holgate Glacier. Marvel at the serene surroundings and listen for the thunder of calving ice crashing into the still waters of this protected harbor.
Rainy day option: Visit Seward Sealife Center: A non-profit marine science facility dedicated to understanding and maintaining the integrity of the marine ecosystem of Alaska through research, rehabilitation and public education. The Center's research facilities and naturalistic exhibits immerse visitors in the dynamic marine ecosystems of Alaska.
Have dinner near the small boat harbor at one of the many Alaskan style restaurants.
Be sure to stop at Exit Glacier for a short 20-minute hike to the glacier on your drive back to the lodge!
Day 4
Another day of hiking, or relaxing, or for an additional cost, add one day of guided fishing for salmon or trout. Whether you're an avid angler or a novice who can't come to Alaska without at least trying to catch a salmon, you'll have an unforgettable experience with our expert guides! Anything you catch can be deliciously smoked or filleted, vacuum-packed and shipped to your home (for an additional charge).
Journey to Ninilchik or Homer to feel the arm-burning power of a giant Pacific Halibut! Half-day or full-day trips available. Fishing processing and packaging available.
Day 5
Depart the Alaska Heavenly Lodge and the Kenai Peninsula to travel north to Talkeetna to see Mt. McKinley. Stop in Anchorage and enjoy Alaska shops filled with native artwork and goods. Visit the Anchorage Native American Museum.

Alaska Heavenly Lodge - Fishing Adventure
5 nights lodging (double occupancy) and 4 days of fishing
Day 1
Drive 99 scenic miles from the Anchorage airport to Cooper Landing along the Turnagain Arm to the Kenai Peninsula.
Upon arrival to Alaska Heavenly Lodge, you will be greeted for a tour of our amazing 18-acre property overlooking the world famous Kenai River! Unpack and settle into your room and prepare yourself for some great fishing. (Waders are available for guest rental.)
Day 2
Start the adventure with a full 8-hour drift on the Upper Kenai River (5-minute drive from the lodge). Each drift boat accomodates 4 fisher people and 1 guide. The guide wil supply spinning or fly rods, reels and all the tackle. You will be fishing for Sockeye Salmon, Rainbow Trout and Doly Varden
Day 3
Grab your hiking boots and your fishing rod! Hike into one of the many local lakes or streams. Fish for Doly Varden, Rainbow Trout, Grayling or Sockeye Salmon from the shore or in a float tube. Enjoy a shore-side lunch surrounded by amazing natural beauty that only Alaska can supply!
Day 4
Adventure the Halibut Capital of the World, Homer, for a day of off-shore Halibut Fishing. Take a chance at a 100-300 lb monster, but enjoy 20-40 lb average fish. Any halibut that comes up from a hundred feet below will be a battle that you will not soon forget. Whoever came up with the saying that a big halibut fights like a sheet of plywood, we suspect had not caught a big halibut.
Day 5
For the ultimate Alaska fishing adventure, take a float plane to a remote, pristine fishing spot. Discover the true last frontier while casting to Grayling, Rainbows or Doly Varden and enjoying the silence of nature.
Day 6
Enjoy another beautiful morning at the lodge. Pack and begin planning your next trip to the Kenai Peninsula for some true, world-class fishing!
